Abstract

This study aimed to determine the Effectiveness of Tiktok Application in Improving Students’ Understanding on Procedure Text for 9th Grade Student at MTsN 6 Agam. Tiktok Application had been used in learning procedure text in the class. The purpose of this research was to find out level of the Effectiveness of Tiktok Application in Improving Students’ Understanding on Procedure Text For 9th Grade Student at MTsN 6 Agam. The kind of this research was a survey through a quantitative method. The population was the 9th grade of Students at MTsN 6 Agam. The researcher used the purposive sampling technique because the population was more than 100 students. The instrument of this research was a questionnaire that consisted of 49 items. The researcher did the validity instrument through three experts. In analyzing the data, the researcher used quantitative descriptive analysis. The data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques to identify the students’ understanding. The results of the research showed the students’ understanding of using Tiktok Application in learning Procedure text for 9th Grade Students at MTsN 6 Agam was 76%. The researcher concluded that students’ understanding is effective category by finding the average of each process chosen by the students. Thus, the result of the research showed that the students dominantly positive the use of Tiktok Application in learning Procedure text.
